Testimonials

What Clients Say

  • "I love working with Michelle. As a journalist she is brilliant at developing lifestyle angles and then helping us land them in a way that makes our clients happy. She is lovely to work with and really proactive and I completely trust her talking to clients directly. I would highly recommend bringing her in to offer a different perspective and for extra support. "

    Fiona Fraser

    Founder of POW PR

  • "Michelle is my trusted second pair of ears and hands. She's brilliant at getting under the skin of a business, shaping a founder's origin story, and stress-testing ideas before they ever see daylight. I bring her in on new client onboarding and when I'm off-grid, because she gives clients exactly what they need: clarity, confidence, and calm, without needing to come directly to me."

    Greg Simpson

    Director Press for Attention

  • "Michelle helped us over several months across our entire client base which consists of food and drink, mentoring, health and beauty and funeral services. She secured unparalleled coverage for us in some really big hitting national outlets such as the Times, The Sun, Metro, the Mirror and LBC. I couldn't be happier with the work she did for us - she's tenacious, pleasant and just a solid pair of hands."

    Emma Gardner

    Director of Aubergine PR

About Me

Get To Know Me

I started my career at a press agency in 2012. When I quit my waitressing job at Pizza Hut to start writing for women's magazines and the daily national papers all my professional dreams had come true. In 2011 I'd graduated from university with a First in Creative and Professional writing but the narrative had been so doom and gloom about gaining meaningful employment that I believed I had years of rejection and failure ahead of me. So getting a job that connected me to London without having to move there and quadruple my rent also felt like I'd won the life lottery. I worked with an amazing team of editors and photographers in Cardiff city centre for eight years sourcing organic news and features in South Wales to write and pitch speculatively to the national papers and women's mags. When I left in 2019 to grow my family with the flexibility of working freelance, I had an overflowing contacts book and a tried and tested news sense that I'd honed over years of landing exciting national exclusives. It's this same spidey sense that helps me to find the right angles for PR clients to cut through and get noticed by the media gatekeepers in an ever-changing news cycle. I don't believe in scattergun pitching. I have a laser-focus on finding the right home for the best stories. I specialise in turning complex ideas, founder stories and raw data into sharp, compelling narratives that resonate with editors and readers.
